December 30 - Setback

Unfortunately, we sit here at 2:30 A.M. writing this post from Brenner Children's Hospital.  Poor Grayson is experiencing some intestinal issues. We arrived at the emergency room a bit before 7:00 P.M.  For the past 35-40 hours he has had very little stool move into his colostomy bag and began spitting up quite a bit. He was admitted into the hospital shortly after 11:00.  They inserted tubes into his intestines to check for a blockage and flush the intestine. A blockage was not identified, but X-rays showed an enlarged portion of the intestine. They think the intestine could be kinked around some scar tissue.  We will meet with the surgeon in the morning and see what the next steps are. It is killing us to see our little boy in trauma again.
