We were pleasantly surprised upon our arrival at the hospital today. Grayson had his central IV removed from his chest this morning and also had his feeding tube removed. This is the first time since a couple hours after he was born that he didn't have any tubes in his mouth or nose. It was so nice to see his face without any apparatus on it. So now he only has the wires on him for the leads that are monitoring his vitals. Everything looks really good and one nurse mentioned there is a possibility he could go home tomorrow. Another nurse mentioned Friday, and one of the doctors mentioned this weekend. So we'll see, but we are really close. We can't wait.

Dad and I were so happy and excited to read your latest comments on baby Grayson; he looks great in the pictures and so beautiful. You are right, he looks beautiful without anything on his face for the first time. Whatever day he comes home you know it will be close; I hope he didn't save up all those sleepy days for the hospital; I hope he left some for you and Val when you come home. If not, you will adjust. That will be minor compared to what all of you have been through. Can't wait to see him inn person again - he just looks so peaceful.

ReplyDeleteSitting in mall watching all the crazy shoppers rushing around wasting money or should I say stimulating the economy. While I am waiting for grammy I was thinking about ways to spoil my grand son. Grayson we will see you in a few weeks and we can talk about the economy and your future. That should be more than enough to get you crying.
