Our home away from home, Brenner Children's Hospital, will be seeing us for a while longer. They did Grayson's biopsy this afternoon, and as we expected, there were no cells present. So Grayson will be going back in for surgery tomorrow morning. This has been an extremely discouraging and frustrating time. Scott spent a good portion of yesterday finding a lot of info on what's been going on and how this happened. There is too much to put here, but he found out that the pathologist that misread the slides just finished training this past year and only has a couple months of experience. Scott spent time with the head surgeon going over what happened and what is going to happen moving forward. For this next surgery, Scott found out who the most qualified pathologist is and has requested him to read the slides during this surgery. He also had the anesthesiologist changed to a different one with considerable more experience than the one that was scheduled to work his surgery.
Our poor little guy hasn't eaten in three days and has started losing weight again.
He was visited by two special friends Nurse Jill and Nurse Sherri. Thank you ladies you are the best.
Please pray for our little man, and that he pulls through his third surgery.
This is so heartbreaking - there are no words to describe how we all feel. We can't believe this is happening but Dear God watch over Grayson and keep him safe.
